“ Great food and service. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend! Mason was our server and did a great job. ”
“ The definition of a hidden gem. It's hard to believe that a restaurant with such amazing quality food is hidden in this strip mall on N. Scottsdale Rd. Once you walk inside, you are teleported into a small romantic atmosphere. My wife and I have now gone back twice and cannot decide which prefix menu we enjoyed more. You get a wide variety of small bites, seafood, amazing well cooked red meat and always a stand out dessert. One of my favorite parts about this restaurant is that it is BYOB and the wine bar attached to the restaurant has such a wide variety of outstanding wines that I had never heard before. The waiters there know a ton about these bottles of wine and are happy to help you pick out which wine will go best with your dinner. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation here for your next special occasion. ”
“ This is the most unassuming fancy restaurant you'll ever go to. Tucked away in a random strip mall, you'll question if you're in the right place...you are. Great food and great service on a changing pre-fixe menu! Make sure to give yourself some time to explore the wine shop before or after! ”
“ Eating at Atlas Bistro is an exceptionally wonderful experience. Well, you may not believe you are in a five star restaurant when you pull up to the storefront, when you step inside, it is the definition of diamond in the rough. The food at Atlas Bistro is exceptionally good making it, one of the best restaurants in Arizona. It is an excellent place to meet with friends for a high-end evening. Pay the money; it's worth it! ”
“ My husband and I dined here on a date night. This place is small AND IN THE BEST WAY! It is the most quaint, cozy restaurant! Ambiance was absolutely AMMMMAAZZZINGGG. Service was AMAZZZZINGGGG! The only people working were the cook, one server and the owner (who also was serving, being the sommelier all while running the whole place and he did a phenomenal job!!!) Our food was spectacular and this was the first time I tried oysters and LOVED THEM. I now love them and want them everywhere we go haha. They have a wine shop connected to the shop so you can walk around and pick the bottle you want and the server will bring it to your table. LOVE THIS CONCEPT. It was so fun! YOU MUST TRY THIS PLACE. I'M SERIOUS!!! ”
“ This wonderful little bistro and wine shop are definitely "under the radar" here in Phoenix. Tucked away in a nondescript strip mall, this establishment has fine dining and wonderful wine adventures written all over it. The fixe-prie five course meal was as good as those we have had at Michelin Star restaurants, for a lot lower price. The wine shop is surprisingly well stocked with wonderful selections and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful with both food and wine. We brought several of our own bottles in for our party of six and really enjoyed how the staff served them and matched them to our courses. Overall, a wonderful small restaurant with exceptional food and service. 5 stars for sure. ”
“ I can't believe I haven't already left a review for this place because it is fantastic! Truly a hidden gem! Everything on the set menu was outstanding and I loved all the different flavors and dishes. There were seven of us, none of us had been here before and we all LOVED it! The wine sommelier was a young woman and we so enjoyed her enthusiasm and knowledge and she steered us to some really great wines that were very reasonably priced. Have your taste buds ready for a delicious experience!! ”
“ We enjoyed a very tasty dinner last Saturday night. The ambiance is decent - nothing special in a medium sized rectangular room with some oil paintings on the wall and the tables following the lines of the walls so it felt somewhat "linear", if the tables were turned at 45 degrees it would feel a lot softer. We brought our own bottle of Turley Zinfandel and it is no longer available however we asked just in case and they said no, however they did not suggest any other offering as a substitute. We also requested salt and pepper at the start so that we would not need to ask for it later and they never brought it, luckily we never needed it. Those few items along with no bread service and a lackluster dessert brought it down to four and a quarter stars from a solid four and a half which would have been rounded up to five. On to the meal! The amuse bouche was a fried triangular wonton crisp with steak tartare with a hint too much mustard and an almost cooked color - not a nice red as one would expect. It was fine however the lack of acidity and freshness brought it down. The first real course was the best of the night. Three decent thickness slices of yellowtail tuna on a delicious and light ginger wasabi vinaigrette with freeze dried corn, red onion bits, salsa verde dollops and drops of lime oil. The flavors were incredibly fresh and perfectly balanced. We could have had two more plates of this and called it a night! The next course was a salad with frisée, roasted red and yellow beets, blue cheese and a very tasty toasted hazelnut dressing. The pasta course was hand cut spaghetti a la chitarra with smoked pork belly and a few drops of salted egg yolk. It was rich and had great flavor, just a tad too small at four forkfuls. The main was filet mignon with a pink peppercorn poivre sauce, a few roasted Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, some parsnip purée and an onion jus. The meat was incredibly tender and perfectly cooked. Dessert was a strawberry shortcake basically in a small glass jar. It was quite sweet and good but not elevated enough for a tasting menu. Service was professional and efficient. We will most likely return for another special evening. ”
“ Surprising little jewel in the heart of a strip mall! Literally from the outside Atlas Bistro is an inconspicuous and almost hard to find place, which really piques your interest. The food and the presentation are beautiful and the portions are on the smaller side. Typically what you'd find in a higher gastronomic dining experience. However if you require larger food portions then this may not your place. Some other things to consider; You have the option to bring your own booze. However they have excellent wine and champagne on offer. If you prefer a cocktail, simply consider bringing something along or going somewhere else for a drink beforehand. Despite the size of the restaurant , they definitely have the capability of serving larger crowds, as we were part of a larger crowd when we dined there. They did a nice job and were very attentive during an additional champagne and hors d'oeuvres hour beforehand which was a elegant touch. The dinner itself took three hours, which is nice for those of us who are looking for somewhere to linger with friends and drink wine Service was good but spotty as some of the fellow guests thought the service was 'transactional' and not warm. Overall I found this to be a surprisingly pleasant experience you would find in a big city restaurant like LA or New York. ”
“ "Chopped" winner Cory Oppold has put together a fantastic dining experience for the Valley. Don't be deceived by the unassuming exterior -- the food shines bright! The menu is prix fixe with three courses. We went as a group of 4 so we were able to try the whole menu. Everything was exceptional! A lot of care is taken to craft interesting ingredients and beautifully plate them. The restaurant also includes a staff sommelier, who can help you pick out a bottle of wine from the wine store next door. Tips: - Make a reservation to ensure you get a table -- the dining room is very small and intimate (maybe 10 tables) - Check in on yelp to get a free bottle corkage fee ”
